Causes We Support

There’s happiness in giving.

Each year we support a cause that is consistent with our values of promoting fairness, equal opportunities, and productivity. We select non-profit institutions based on their efficacy in delivering services and efficiency on using their funds. Here are the organizations we have supported. If you would like to make a donation please visit the agency website.

2018
Supporting our sponsored child through children’s international continues to be our focus. Millions of children are in dire need of educational and health support.  If you would like to sponsor the well-being of a child, please consider supporting through Children’s International.  Also, the California team participated in the California Coastal Day by helping clean up a local creek. It offered an opportunity to reflect on the actions each one us can take to leave a better environment for the generations to come.

In 2017, we continued to support our sponsored child in Columbia through Children’s International. The team in California contributed service hours to Urban Farmers.  The volunteers collectively picked 15000 tons of persimmons which were sent to the local food banks and those affected by the wildfires. If any of these organizations interest you, please consider donating.

In 2016, we supported our sponsored child through Children International and OXFAM.  The Syrian crisis is among the worst humanitarian tragedies we have seen in recent times.  Over 11 million individuals have been either killed or displaced.  Oxfam is one of the larger non-profit organizations working to address the needs of refugees in Syria and other parts of the world.  Please support Oxfam if you would like to help solve the refugee crisis.

2015
In 2015, we continued to support our sponsored child, Ester Lorna, through the work of Children’s International.  This year, the California Based HCG team supported ‘Keep Tahoe Blue’ by helping clean the Lake Tahoe coast.  We are fortunate to be based among the bountiful farmlands of Northern California.  However, many of the aging farmers struggle to get their produce picked for purposeful use.  We volunteered with the non-profit organization, Urban Farmers, to help with one such cause.  Finally, the devastating floods in Chennai, India, have left many homeless and devoid of safe drinking water.  Our India-based team chose to support the outreach effort in these areas, through donations to the Smile Foundation. If you wish to fund any of these causes, please click on the link below.

Children International has been providing critical assistance to children and families struggling in terrible poverty. Through their one-to-one child sponsorship program, they reduce the burden of poverty on impoverished children, invest in their potential, and provide them with opportunities to grow up healthy, educated, and prepared to succeed and contribute to society.

In 2014, Human Capital Growth is continuing to sponsor the education and health needs of our sponsored child, Lorna Esther.

Beautiful Gate School

The Beautiful Gate school provides much-needed services to children with special needs. They operate in Mysore India where the needs of the community are larger than the school’s capacity. To fill this gap the school has plans to build a larger facility.

Previously known as the Manasa Trust, the Destitute Home at Mysore rescues women with mental health disorders. When we selected this organization in 2010 it was supported by the generous donations of community members and philanthrophic institutions. We are happy to report the home is now run by the Social Welfare Department of Karnataka and is located at Jyothi Nagar near Mysore.

Here is an artwork that we so lovingly received from one of the residents during our visit. Drawings such as these tell intricate stories about the difficult lives of the rescued residents. We are pleased that the organization continues to thrive and support many more people in need.
